Metallica paid tribute to the late, great purple one in his home town of Minneapolis this week on their Worldwired Tour.
The tribute, suitably titled: Rob & Kirk’s Doodle is the Metallica bass player and guitarist attempting to play the 1984 Prince song ‘When Doves’ Cry’, with Rob reading the lyrics word for word and the audience evening struggling to keep up.
Although the audience look as confused as us, the band look like they’re having a good time.
Metallica are still touring Worldwired, with the band reporting they’ll be bringing it down under next year.
