Police Dog Bites Runaway Suspect In The Groin Following High-Speed Chase Queensland Police Service

A runaway criminal has been bitten on the private parts by one of Queensland's star police dogs, Bravo, as he tried to flee the scene of a high speed police pursuit on the Gold Coast.

Officers on ground and in the PolAir 1 chopper spent almost an hour on Tuesday night tracking the 33-year-old in an allegedly stolen Ford Laser, stolen from a unit complex in Labrador on Sunday, as it dangerously sped through half a dozen suburbs.

The vehicle went through two rounds of tyre spikes and continued travelling even after completely losing a wheel, it eventually came to a stop along Brisbane Road in Arundel.

Once stopped the driver attempted the great escape, but Bravo and his handler were hot on his tail, arresting him in nearby bushland.

He was released from hospital this morning and receiving treatment for a groin injury, the Nerang resident has since been charged with dangerous driving, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlicensed or disqualified driving.
