Trio charged over Surfers Paradise bashings

Three New South Wales men are due to face court today, after allegedly attacking two people in separate incidents in Surfers Paradise.

According to police, a man was walking down Surfers Paradise Boulevard early on Monday morning when the trio attacked him.

He was allegedly hit multiple times by his assailants who demanded he hand over his wallet, but the victim managed to get away.

Police claim another man was apparently attacked by the same group a short time later.

He was left with facial injuries.

Three men, aged 18, 19 and 20, were arrested later that day and were due in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with attempted robbery.

The two younger men are also facing a charge of affray.
