No Charges Laid Over Baby Death

A 32 year old man who was taken in for questioning over the death of a two month old baby boy in Wagga yesterday has been released without charge, as investigations continue.

The baby was rushed to hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning, but was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

Officers had been called to the Henwood Avenue home at around 5am, investigating reports of an infant in distress.

Strike Force Banco has been established to investigate the boy’s death, detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy.
