Despite the disappointment of not making the playoffs, the PrintSync South West Slammers' season has finished on a high with young gun Travis Durnin named the Player of the Week in the SBL.
It was a career-high night for the Slammers player with 45 points, 18 rebounds and 5 steals against the Kalamunda Eastern Suns.
Durnin lit it up with three consecutive three-pointers on his way to 16 points in the third quarter, which brought the fans to their feet.
He's a chance to run close for the Most Improved Award in the Men's SBL, averaging 16.8 points a game, 6.4 rebounds and shooting at 44 per cent.
Durnin was runner up for the Slammers MVP on Sunday night behind US import Brian Voelkel.
Co-captain Courtney Bayliss was named the Women's Slammers MVP ahead of Dutch import Charlotte van Kleef and Georgia Denehey.
