Bruce Highway Opens Again After Truck And Bus Collide, Sending 9 To Hospital

Nine people have been hospitalised following a crash between a truck a small bus south of Gumlu this morning. 

The impact happened just before 7am on the Bruce Highway intersection with Molongle Creek. 

Four people are in a serious but stable condition, with 2 of those people having to be cut from the bus.  

Fire crews from Ayr, Home Hill and Bowen were on the scene, as well as a Heavy Rescue unit from Townsville. 

Five other occupants from the collision are in a stable condition. 

The Bruce Highway was cut for 2 hours while authorities attended the scene, but is now open to all traffic.
