Victorian batsman Glenn Maxwell has notched up a double-century at North Sydney Oval this afternoon.
The explosive right-hander was clinical as he passed 200 off 226 balls against New South Wales.
Maxwell is making a massive statement after being overlooked for the test team to play in the opening match of the summer.
The New South Wales attack is stacked with former Australian representatives such as Doug Bollinger, Sean Abbott, Steve O'Keefe, Trent Copeland and Moises Henriques.
The Vics are in a commanding position in the closing stages of day one sitting at 3-332.
Aaron Finch was also among the runs scoring 76 for the Bushrangers.
